Key speaker will be Janet Vallier, Principal Policy office for the Office of the Chief Veterinary Officer

Janet has been appointed as an Inspector with the department since 2005 as a Biosecurity Officer and now in policy aspects of animal biosecurity and welfare in Biosecurity Queensland.

Janet has held roles in both the veterinary sector as well as regulatory  appointments within the Red Meat Production Sector for 15 years prior to coming to Biosecurity Queensland.

Her experience includes  Meat Inspection and Auditing of Meat Processing Facilities, disease investigation and management, Surveillance coordinator for Disease incursions including BJD, Hendra and White Spot disease. Now currently working Livestock Traceability and Registration.

Jade Tighe  has been appointed as an Inspector with the department since 2015 working as a Biosecurity Inspector with Animal Biosecurity and Welfare in Biosecurity Queensland.

Jade has held roles in both the veterinary sector as well as roles within agriculture and Ag tec, specialising in beef cattle, RFID and NLIS Technology.

Her experience includes stud stock management, trials and sales of Ag tec products,  Auditing, disease investigation and management, Disease incursions including BJD and White Spot disease. Now currently working as the Districts Biosecurity Inspector.
